First Baptist Church of Asheville is a caring and compassionate church which, like Jesus, accepts everyone and is committed to serving our neighbors, community, and world. Some people know FBC as Òthat church with the dome,Ó and itÕs hard to miss the landmark building, designed by renowned architect Douglas Ellington in the mid-1920Õs. Ellington built the church in 1925-1927 and it is a 2 story, domed, polygonal brick building with Art Deco design influences.

Joye is an award winning photographer who has been involved in photography for over 40 years and is owner of the Gingko Tree Gallery in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Her images have been published worldwide through several stock agencies. She photographs nature, landscapes, art as well as portraits, dogs, and family events. She has been published in WNC Magazine, Our State Magazine, Wall Street Journal, The Laurel of Asheville, Black Mountain News and other publications in North Carolina, Kentucky and Florida. She has done work for Paramount Pictures, including the movie �28 Days� and the television show �Ed�, along with both Kentucky and North Carolina State Park systems.
