The South Mountains are an isolated, majestic and rugged mountain range, arising from the gently rolling Foothills and upper Piedmont region of western North Carolina. These mountains encompass 100,000 acres in Burke, Cleveland and Rutherford counties. It is a beautiful park with many waterfalls along the rolling creek.
About Joye Ardyn Durham
Joye is an award winning photographer who has been involved in photography for over 40 years and is owner of the Gingko Tree Gallery in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Her images have been published worldwide through several stock agencies. She photographs nature, landscapes, art as well as portraits, dogs, and family events. She has been published in WNC Magazine, Our State Magazine, Wall Street Journal, The Laurel of Asheville, Black Mountain News and other publications in North Carolina, Kentucky and Florida. She has done work for Paramount Pictures, including the movie �28 Days� and the television show �Ed�, along with both Kentucky and North Carolina State Park systems.
